Repairing the Lens Retaining Clip on Lynx

The silver locking ring on the front of the FinishLynx cameras are not very robust and tend to break quite easily. Bob's investigated the problem, and although we can't stop them breaking they can be repaired without the time and expense of taking them to a camera shop. Here's Bob's instructions:-

"The lens clip on my camera had not worked for about the last two years or so. Last night I got the tool box out and found a small cross head screwdriver from the watchmakers kit. I took the four screws that hold the silver ring on to the front of the camera; the pin fell out as did the spring clip that you push to get the lens out together with a very small screw that holds the clip on to the back of the ring and also holds the pin in. It was a very simple job to put the fixing screw etc.back in and the ring back on the camera. It must have taken no more than 10 mins at most and it now works A1."
